confusion and care
Takuto is one of the "Gods of Death" Mitsuki encounters in her room while plotting a plan to escape from her house. They are invisible to all humans, but for some reason Mitsuki was able to see them. It was later discovered that the reason for this was because of Mitsuki's last year to live. He has the ability to change into the form of a stuffed toy Cat. Something he used in the first chapter to capture Mitsuki.
Takuto is very empathic towards Mitsuki because in his past life he too was a singer. Throughout the course of this series, his empathy slowly turns into strong feelings, perhaps even to the extent of love. Despite his role, he does have a soft spot of Mitsuki, often helping her in times of need.
Takuto's knowledge of Mitsuki extends much further than the eye can see. When he was alive, he was the lead singer of a band called ROUTE:L, a band both Mitsuki's father and doctor were in. He actually helped name Mitsuki and met her when she was only four years old.
However like Mitsuki, Takuto also had a tumour in her throat, preventing him from singing. Unable to live without singing, he commit suicide and became a Shinagami.
