CHAPTER ONE SUMMARY

Mizuki cuts her hair as her best friend Julia tries to convince Mizuki to remain in America. However, Mizuki's mind is made up, her decision to move to Japan to meet her idol has been made.

It is the first day of school, and Mizuki races down the corridor to her classroom, disappointed that she is late on her first day. On her way she crashes into a fellow classmate, but with class on her mind, she gets up and races off. Late, after apologising to her teacher, she is confronted by Sano, the same person she had bumped into earlier. Although, the bigger coincidence is that Sano is the idol Mizuki traveled all around the world for.

Excited, she later requests for Sano's friendship directly in front of the class. Unfortunately, her request is taken the wrong way and Sano explains that he is not gay and is therefore not interested. This leaves Mizuki shocked and the rest of the class in stitches, as that was not what she had implied. Her comical actions attract the attention of Nakatsu, who announces that he would like to be Mizuki's friend.

At the end of the day, a tired Mizuki makes her way back to her dorm with Nakatsu. Along the way she is attacked by the school dog, Yuujirou. Nakatsu is surprised as Yuujirou only attacks females, but she concludes that Yuujirou is probably confused since Mizuki looks so much like a girl.

Mizuki is delighted to discover that Sano is also her roommate, but nervous for she must explain her earlier attempt to "befriend" him. She explains herself, and even reveals that she traveled all the way just to see him jump. Sano informs Mizuki that he no longer jumps, leaving Mizuki very stunned and let down at the same time. No some much because Sano no longer jumps, but because of his cold and aloof attitude.

Outside her room Mizuki meets her dorm leader, Minami Nanba. Mizuki soon learns that within her dorm, she has been ranked the cutest student, which makes Mizuki very mad. Especially having her photo taken without her knowledge.

After their meal, Mizuki ventures outside to find Sano sitting on the lawn fast asleep. Intrigued, Mizuki sits next to him to block the wind. As she gazes at Sano's face, he soon falls over and lands on top of Mizuki, thanks to Yuujirou who tried to jump on Sano's back. Sano wakes up and is embarrassed by his position. To lighten the moment Mizuki jokes around with him.

The next day is Sports Day and Mizuki must participate within one sport. Although she is still pre-occupied as to why Sano would give up high jumping. After her track timing she is still lost in her thoughts, however her sports coach discovers that Mizuki is the fastest runner within the entire school. Sports captains from track teams quickly race towards Mizuki begging her to join their team. Shocked, Mizuki races off.

Behind a bush she finds Sano yet again taking a nap, and finds herself in an intimate position. After Sano awakens, she dashes off, too embarrassed to face him.

Nakatsu invites Mizuki to join him in a game of soccer, being the sport he plays. Mizuki is hesitated at first, but soon agrees. During the game she is knocked unconscious. Luckily, Sano arrives in time to take Mizuki to the Doctor, while Nakatsu runs to inform of the Doctor. However, as Sano picks Mizuki up he notices something not quite right about her body.

In the clinic, Doctor Umeda explains to Mizuki's friends that it was just shock and nothing serious. Dr Umeda then forces both Nakatsu and Sano out the door. Mizuki soon regains her consciousness and gets up to leave. But before she can, Dr Umeda poses a serious question to her, "What's a girl like you doing in a Boys-only School?"
